Is Shopify Magic going away if I use Ecomptimize?

No. Shopify Magic stays available in your admin. Ecomptimize is a complement for catalog-scale work, not a replacement for in-context assistance.

Will Ecomptimize fields overwrite anything Shopify Magic generated?

Only the fields you mapped during the run. If you skip the SEO meta fields, only the body text is touched. The before / after review lets you reject any line that should keep its Shopify Magic version.

Can I use both tools side by side?

Yes — many merchants use Shopify Magic for one-off edits and Ecomptimize for the quarterly catalog refresh or the catalog migration.

Does Ecomptimize support Shopify Plus?
